A free website evaluation game for digital marketing and e-commerce classes

Teams audit a small outdoor shop's mobile website: the home page, a product page and the checkout. Each page has ten numbered pins. Some mark real problems (usability, accessibility, speed, trust or the law), some are perfectly fine. Each team flags five pins and picks the one to fix first, then the reveal shows the site through a slow phone, colour-blind eyes and a screen reader. About 15 minutes, one projector, paper and pens; or play solo against three rival agencies.

The shop, pages and figures are fictional, and the problems were planted for teaching. The game explains its own assumptions under "How this game simplifies reality", and every verdict links to the guideline, research or regulation behind it.
